This work from the "Shore Dreams – Trees by the Sea" series features a row of delicate trees whose brightly red crowns appear like an inner glow in the still expanse of a coastal landscape. The clear horizon line, the calm water, and the reflective surface create an almost meditative pictorial structure, where reality and reflection flow into each other.
The minimalist composition contrasts with the intense colors of the tree crowns. The strong red acts as an emotional counterpoint to the cool, misty atmosphere of the background, thus creating a tension between tranquility and energy, transience and presence.
As in the entire series, this work is also understood as a poetic reflection on landscape as a projection surface for inner states. The trees become silent witnesses to an existential vastness, in which time and space lose their significance.
