This work from my series "Shoreline Dreams – Trees by the Sea" explores the tension between two contrasting visual worlds. A clearly perceptible vertical division separates warm, intense color fields from cool, restrained areas. The vibrant orange zone acts as an energetic impulse asserting itself against the calm, almost ethereal atmosphere of the right half of the image.
The reduced tree forms are intentionally diverse – from a powerful, slightly inclined solitary figure to delicate, almost dissolving silhouettes. They act like silent actors within a constructed landscape, whose reality oscillates between abstraction and suggestion. The reflective water surface enhances the composition by not only mirroring the contrasts but also connecting them. This creates a visual balance between dynamism and stillness, between energy and emptiness.
As in all works in this series, the coastal landscape serves as a projection space for inner states and existential questions. The image invites viewers to explore their own perception between clarity and irritation, between order and dissolution.
